“I think it is time to get rid of Kaptaan”: Shaheen Afridi

Following their innings, Pakistan’s leading bowler Shaheen Afridi responded to critics with a vicious jab while defending his colleagues.

“I think it is time to get rid of Kaptaan @babarazam258 and @iMRizwanPak. Itne selfish players. Agar sahi se khelte to match 15 overs me finish hojana chahye tha. Ye akhri over tak le gaye. Let’s make this a movement. Nahi? Absolutely proud of this amazing Pakistani team,” Shaheen Afridi tweeted.

“Absolutely proud of this amazing Pakistani team,” Shaheen Afridi further wrote.

Shaheen’s last Pakistani appearance came in the first Test of a two-match series against Sri Lanka in July at Galle. He suffered an injury while fielding in the game, and has been out since. Given that he was chosen for the team’s 15-person roster for the T20 World Cup, he is expected to make a comeback there.
