Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has appointed Mickey Arthur as the director of cricket. Mickey Arthur, the former head coach of Pakistan, will work closely with head coach Grant Bradburn for the New Zealand white ball leg. Under the regime of Mickey Arthur from 2016-2019, the men in Green won ICC Champions Trophy 2017.
It is believed that Mickey Arthur would be fully present for the head coach post starting from Asia Cup 2023. The Men in Green have dominated the last T20 WC 2021 & 2022 but haven’t been able to win the crunch moments of the match.
It is assumed that Mickey Arthur will work closely with the coaching staff and skipper Babar Azam for formulating strategies. Currently, the men in Green are leading the T20I Series against New Zealand by 2-1 and would be aiming to wrap up the series on 20th April (*Thursday)
