Pakistan Cricket Board has made a change to the fixtures of three-match T20I series against the Windies.

The third T20I of the series has been preponed by a day, and instead of April 4, now the game will be played on April 3. As per the new schedule, the three T20Is will be played on three consecutive days, i.e. April 1, 2 and 3,

“The West Indies will play three T20 matches with Pakistan in National Stadium Karachi on 1st, 2nd and 3rd April 2018. The dates have been adjusted so that there is no match on the occasion of Barsi of ex-PM of Pakistan Z. A. Bhutto on April 4th. This has been done on the advice of Sindh Government,” a release from PCB read as.

All the three matches will be played in Karachi. The Windies will become the third team to tour Pakistan for an international series.

It was in 2015 when Zimbabwe became the first team to travel Pakistan when they toured the country for three ODIs and two T20Is. The series was marred by controversy when during the second ODI, a suicide blast took place outside Gaddafi stadium, Lahore.

Sri Lanka became the second team to travel to Pakistan when Thisara Perera-led his team to the country for the last T20I of the three-match series.

Before this, a World XI side led by Faf du Plessis also travelled to Pakistan to play three-match T20I series.

Last year, the final of Pakistan Super League was also held in Pakistan.

This year, two Eliminators and Final are also to be played in the country, and there is doubt over the participation of few players in these three contests.

Apart from these teams, Kenya had also travelled to Pakistan, but they played against Pakistan A.

The tour of Windies to Pakistan will further lead to more teams travelling to the country. However, the majority of teams still restrain themselves from going to Pakistan. A few of the players from the Windies might give Pakistan tour a miss.

Players who agree to travel to the country will only be selected in the current World Cup Champions team.
