Mahendra Singh Dhoni is one of best ever captains and wicketkeeper-batsmen to grace the game. The World Cup-winning captain made his debut way back in 2004 and registered his name in the history books just three years later after guiding India to the World T20 title in 2007. Dhoni has not looked back since then. Not only in captaincy, Dhoni also made a huge mark with his bat as well as wicketkeeping gloves. From leading India to number one in both Tests and ODIs to the World Cup title and the Champions Trophy title, Dhoni has won almost everything as a captain and is also one of the greatest-ever batsman in the limited-overs cricket.

The 36-year old has so far scored a staggering 9658 runs in 50-over cricket at an outstanding average of over 52. He recently became only the sixth Indian player to play 300 ODIs and also become the first-ever wicketkeeper to affect 100 stumpings in the 50-over format.

Not surprisingly, Dhoni is regarded by many as the greatest wicketkeeper-batsman of all time and now Pakistan’s senior batsman Shoaib Malik has also joined the bandwagon. Malik recently called Dhoni a ‘legend’ and ‘GOAT’ (Greatest Of All Time). The Pakistan star praised the former India captain during a question & answer session with followers on Twitter when one fan asked: ” Shoaib malik some words on ms dhoni???”

In reply, Malik wrote:“Legend GOAT.”
