Pakistan Super League 2019: Karachi Kings vs Multan Sultans, 2nd Match – Report; Yet another close match makes its way in the ongoing Pakistan domestic tournament. Karachi Kings thrashed Multan Sultans by 7 runs in the second match of the league to start their season on a positive note. Liam Livingstone and Babar Azam are the stars of the day.

Ist Innings:

Initially, it was Karachi Kings, who won the toss and chose to bat first. Justifying the toss decision, both the openers started things in a fine fashion for the team. They went on to add a brilliant 157-run partnership for the first wicket in just 15 overs.

However, then came the breakthrough for Multan Sultans when Chris Green sent back Liam and Babar Azam in quick succession. All of a sudden, there seen a tremendous dip in the run rate for Karachi Kings.

From 157 in 15 overs, all they managed on the scorecard at the end of 20 overs is 183 runs. Multan bowlers displayed top-class death bowling skills to send the rest of the Karachi players for single-digit scores. Coming to the bowing section, Chris Green picked up 3 wickets.

2nd Innings:

In reply, Multan Sultans got an early jolt as Tom Moores walked back for 1 run to his name. Shan Masood too played very unlike him by scoring 20 runs off 20 balls. Laurie Evans got 49 runs to his name but haven’t got them at a good strike rate.

Just when things looked drifting away, then came the knock from Shoaib Malik, who smashed a brilliant 52 off 28 deliveries. The inning from Malik pushed Multan near the total but unfortunately, the lack of support from other batsmen left them to stay away to the total by 7 runs. Amir finished with a 4-wicket haul.
