Pakistan Super League 2019: Steven Smith Enters his Name in Draft

Former Australian skipper Steven Smith has entered his name in the draft for the next season of the Pakistan Super League. Smith had recently played club cricket in Australia along with David Warner. Thus, Smith is trying his best to keep himself close to the game. In fact, Smith had also plied on his trade in the Global T20 league of Canada.

Meanwhile, Steven Smith is currently out of action for Australia. The talisman batsman was banned by Cricket Australia for a period of one year after the ball-tampering scandal. Australia’s deputy David Warner had also received one year ban whereas Cameron Bancroft was banned for a period of nine months.

Steven Smith had also played for the Barbados Tridents in the recently concluded Carribean Premier League.

On the other hand, AB de Villiers had also made himself available for the next season of the Pakistan Super League. The next season of the Pakistan Super League will witness players like AB de Villiers and Steven Smith which will add spark to the T20 league.

Meanwhile, the next season of the Pakistan Super League will kick start from February 14 in the UAE. In fact, the last eight matches of the fourth season of the PSL will take place in Pakistan. The final of the Pakistan Super League will take place in Karachi on March 17.

On the other hand, Steven Smith will like to keep his momentum going before the World Cup. Smith cannot represent Australia in the domestic circuit and thus it is pivotal for him to keep playing in the different T20 leagues across the globe.
