South Africa’s talisman bowler Dale Steyn sees a new number one Test bowler in Mohammad Abbas. The Pakistan fast bowler has had a fine start to his career and has done a majestic job for his team. Abbas was able to scalp 50 Test wickets in just nine Test matches as he wrote his name in the history books. Abbas has been consistent for his team as he has been right on the money.

Thus, Mohammad Abbas has been ruling the roost in the recent past. He was the Player of the series in a two-match series against England which ended at 1-1. Subsequently, the right-arm fast bowler was able to continue his good form going in the series against Australia.

The right-hander scalped seven wickets in the first Test match against the Aussies to continue his dream form going. However, Pakistan was evaded a win by the Australian team.

Furthermore, Abbas has already scalped nine wickets in the ongoing second Test match. The fast bowler was able to take a five-wicket haul in the first dig. In fact, he has already scalped four out of five Australian wickets thus far in the second essay.

Thus, Abbas has breathed down the neck of the visitor’s batsmen. Interestingly, Abbas is able to produce such performances in the unfavorable conditions of the UAE, which are generally a friend for the spinners and a foe for the pacers. Consequently, Abbas has brought his best to the table in the testing conditions.
