Pakistan vs Australia 2018: Tim Paine Reveals Team's Bowling Plan for UAE Tour

It has been a tough last four months for Australia in the international circuit. Ever since the ball-tampering scandal led to the ban of the talented trio, the downfall for Australia began. However, the new captain, Tim Paine took the onus on him to lead the team in tough circumstances and wants to yield a positive result against Pakistan on the UAE tour.

The pitches in the UAE are hard for the cricketers, as it doesn’t offer much bounce along with heat thumping down. The conditions will be a turmoil for the cricketers and fielding for the five days will be a massive ask for the players.

The Australia skipper is aware of the conditions in the UAE and wants to give ample support for his bowlers. He quoted the team management will prepare a game plan to help the fast bowlers while delivering in the middle against Pakistan.

Tim Paine added he would ask the fast bowlers to serve short and accurate spells against Pakistan in the UAE to cope up with the weather. Further, he said Mitchell Starc would hold the key.

“It’s going to be over 40 degrees and really high humidity so we’re going to have to be clever about how we use our bowlers. I expect him to be bowling short spells and as fast as he can,” Paine added. “We’re hopeful – no, we’re sure – Starcy will have a really big series, and if he does, it will go a long way towards winning it for us,” Tim Paine told reporters.

“I think games traditionally in the UAE take a long time so we are going to have to be really patient,” he said. “We have spoken about partnerships and patience and pressure, which is going to be a real key over there,” he inferred.

However, it is going to be a hard tour for Australia to tour UAE. The climate conditions will take a toll on Australians and Pakistan has got splendid players in their ranks to put the visitors chasing the leather as well.
