Pakistani cricketers mourn Bollywood ace Sridevi's death

The controversy embroiled following the sudden death of Bollywood’s star figure Sridevi. Her fans and cricketers took to the social media and expressed the shock over her sad demise.

Known for her generosity, Sridevi has dominated the silver screen since past five decades. The growing relations among the cricketers and actors have set a burgeoning example. The bound has further been pushed beyond boundaries.

After passing away at the age of 54, Sridevi started off her film career at the tender age of four. She was attending the family wedding of her nephew Mohit Marwah in Dubai.

Unfortunately, Sridevi was found dead in a bathtub on February 24. Her news spread like a wildfire which also took the sportspersons by an utter surprise.

According to the postmortem report, Sridevi drowned in a bathtub. So much so, the reports suggested Sridevi has consumed alcohol. The news broke when her husband, Boney Kapoor, confirmed the news to the media outlets.

The condolence message also poured in from Pakistan. It subsequently saw the Pakistan players expressing grief over Sridevi’s death.

The Bollywood icon has given out many hit movies during her professional career. The latest signing came in 2012 in the form of ‘Mom’ in 2017.

Sridevi’s body was flown to the country on Wednesday (February 28) for the last rites in Mumbai. Her death has been termed untimely by many celebrities including the cricketing stars. The initial reports suggested Sridevi died of cardiac arrest.

Earlier, the broadcast medium left no stone unturned and eventually smelled something fishy following Sridevi’s death.

However, the reports further revealed there was no history of heart ailments in the Sridevi’s family.

The nation found it hard to deal with the tragic loss. Moreover, the cricketers were also in awe of the Bollywood actor for her phenomenal roles behind the camera.

Pakistani former cricketers Waqar Younis and Shoaib Akhtar also took to the micro-blogging website Twitter to express shock.

“We are deeply saddened by the news of Sridevi’s passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family #RIP,” Younis wrote on Twitter.

Moreover, Rawalpindi Express Shoaib Akhtar, also conveyed the condolence. On the other side, cricketers from Pakistan witnessed the major chunk of Bollywood movies.

“Saddened by her sudden demise! Rip #Sridevi,” Akhtar tweeted as Sridevi shared the great bound as human.
