As if the loss against India and the heavy criticism that followed after it were not enough, Pakistan skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed looks set to land in further trouble. Fans in Pakistan are just not ready to move on from that defeat and doing everything they can to make the players’ pay for that loss. In the latest turn of events, a lawyer in Pakistan has filed a suit against Sarfaraz Ahmed.

Asked to bat first, India piled up a mammoth total of 336 for 5. Rohit Sharma starred with the bat, scoring 140 while KL Rahul and Virat Kohli scored 57 and 77 respectively. In reply, Pakistan failed to provide any sort of challenge to their formidable opponents.

Barring the 104-run stand between Fakhar Zaman and Babar Azam, they never really looked in contention to chase down the total. They eventually finished on 212 for 6 in 40 overs, thus losing the game by 89 runs (DLS method).

Following the defeat, the Pakistani fans have left no stone unturned to make their players’ life miserable. But a lawyer from the country has gone even further as he has sought Sarfaraz Ahmed’s arrest once the latter returns to the country. One of the accusations against the captain was over his yawning during the match – a picture which has gone viral on the social media

PakPassion editor Saj Sadiq confirmed the news through Twitter, writing:

Pakistan, meanwhile, will be looking to get back to winning ways when they take on South Africa on Sunday. The Men in Green are in danger of exiting the World Cup at the group stage. A loss against South Africa will all but end their hopes of progressing ahead. In five games so far, Pakistan have managed to amass just 3 points with one win.
