Pawan Negi drops his base price ahead of the IPL auction

Pawan Negi grabbed everybody’s eyeballs after bagging an Rs 8.5 crore deal in the 2016 Indian Premier League (IPL) auction. This deal made him most expensive uncapped Indian player in the history of PL.

However, the young all-rounder couldn’t live up to his expectation as he finished with 57 runs and one wicket in the eight matches he played for Delhi Daredevils.

Not surprisingly, he was released by DD at the end of the season. Royal Challengers Bangalore then picked Negi in the 2017 auction for Rs 1 crore.

However, he justified the belief shown by the franchise bagging 13 wickets in 11 matches.

Negi has now come terms with his base price setting the price tag to just Rs 50 lakh. As the teams are starting fresh, many franchises will look to buy local talent at low prices.

Negi is s specialist in the shortest format of the game is always welcomed by any team in the Indian Premier League. It will be interesting to see who and for how much amount Pawan Negi is sold.
