Recently, we came across Ahmed Shehzad getting banned from the game of cricket for four months for failing a dope test. However, he was present in the local cricket tournament thus received the show-cause notice by PCB.

Meanwhile, Umar Akmal is the latest person to get summoned by the PCB. In the recent documentary released by Al Jazeera, Umar Akmal was spotted receiving something from the bookie in a plastic bag.

Umar Akmal was present in the documentary released by Al Jazeera:

To take the statement from Umar Akmal, PCB has asked him to visit ACU officials. However, Umar was given time to present at ACU, as he is busy in plying his trade in the domestic circuit.

Speaking of the same, the chief operating officer of the board, Subhan Ahmed quoted they are going to ask regarding the latest Al Jazeera reports on Umar Akmal. Further, he added they are going to be strict with their laws.

“He has been told to make himself available for questioning when he is free from his cricket commitments,” Subhan said.

Meanwhile, it is not the first time for Akmal to get summoned. In recent times, in an interview, he admitted a lot of bookies had addressed him to fix the matches while he was at the peak of his career.

However, it would be interesting to see how things would pan out for Umar Akmal and Ahmed Shehzad. They might fall under the stamp of the ban in a case of not giving the considerable answers.
