As far as the format of the PDC T10 League is concerned, each of the 8 teams will lock horns in the round-robin league which will be followed by the playoff stage, consisting of qualifiers, eliminator, and the grand finale.

The tournament comes as a welcome boost to the island nation. Sri Lanka has seen two high-profile series- Test rubber against in England in March and white-ball series against India [3 ODIs + 3 T20Is]- due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Earlier this month, a total of 13 Sri Lankan players [mostly bowlers] kickstarted their training, and the support staff overseeing it comprises a four-member unit and all of them including players are strictly adhering to the safety guidelines issued by the government regarding Covid-19.
