Peshawar Zalmi Working Hard to Retain Title in PSL 2018 - Mohammad Hafeez

Mohammad Hafeez has admitted his team, Peshawar Zalmi needs to work hard to defend the title.
Meanwhile, Zalmi has already started preparations for the third edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Further, Zalmi has appointed former Pakistan spinner Saqlain Mushtaq as the spin bowling consultant.
Need to work hard:
Hafeez stated they need work hard to retain the title. Along with it, Hafeez feels past glories remains in the past, as it is a new beginning.
“I personally believe that whatever good or bad you achieve it is past, and you can’t just carry it with you forever,” Hafeez said. “Yes, we were the champions, but we will have to work really hard to retain our title and become champions once again,” he added.

A balanced team:
However, Hafeez believes if Zalmi plays to their potential they can repeat history. Also, Zalmi has a perfect mixture of senior and junior cricketers.
“Sans couple of faces, our core team is same. We have added some youngsters to squad too who are very passionate to express themselves during the league,” Hafeez said after a training session. I am very positive about my role for the team and will try my best to perform according to expectations of Zalmi management and the fans,” he added.

Meanwhile, Hafeez has played 50 Tests and 200 ODI games for Pakistan. He has been a pillar to Pakistan cricket contributing with both bat and ball. Also, he has led Pakistan in a few games. This is Hafeez’s third year in Peshawar Zalmi, and he is keen to help the youngsters.
