The right-handed flamboyant batsman of Australia Peter Handscomb has penned a couple of years contract with the Middlesex cricket to captain them. He will be part of the team across the formats and will be leading the team in every format in order to yield success to the club.
The 28-year-old has filled the void left by Dawid Malan’s resignation and subsequent departure to Yorkshire Handscomb, who will link-up with fellow-Aussie and head coach Stuart Law, will lead the team in the County Championship and One-Day Cup.
Hailing from Melbourne, Victoria, Handscomb was born to British parents. Now, he will be leading a county club of England. With the kind of batting potential he has displayed in his short career so far, Middlesex would be hoping to come good for the team in the next couple of years.

Peter Handscomb is a successful captain:
However, with his mental strength and extraordinary powers of concentration, he is more than capable of adjusting his game. He would be looking to claw his way back into the side soon with the performances in whatever opportunities he gets going forward.
“We are delighted and excited to have an all-round cricketer of Peter’s stature at the club. I have known Peter for some time and worked with him at the National Cricket Centre in Brisbane seven or eight years ago, so I know what a top bloke he is. Peter is a fine player and he will fill a couple of the gaps that have been created.”

“He is a successful captain, a fine middle-order player and the sort of character who will help create a strong positive environment that will keep moving the club forward. He has been brought up in a tough environment and his background will help with the continued development of our young cricketers.”
Well, it is an interesting signing for Middlesex, as Peter Handscomb is coming into the peak of his career. The next couple of years are going to be a break or make times for Peter Handscomb.
