Indian Politicians have always been a see-saw like personality. One day, they impress one and all with their brilliant gestures, and on the other day, they will involve themselves in degrading pictures. Meanwhile, there is a ruckus going on in Himachal Pradesh over State Guest Status to former Indian skipper, MS Dhoni.

The stalwart player of India, Dhoni arrived Shimla for a commercial shoot. Meanwhile, the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Jai Ram Thakur gave a celebrity status to former Team India skipper Dhoni despite staying in Shimla for a brief period.

Meanwhile, it did not serve well for the opposition Party, Congress. They have thrown their words at Chief Minister for giving the special status to Dhoni on his commercial visit.

However, the honourable HP CM gave his explanation.

I am pained to read the reports over Guest status to MS Dhoni – CM Jai Ram Thakur

Speaking of the statements given by the opposition, Jai Ram Thakur asked Congress leaders to look at the bigger picture. Dhoni, being an international figure, it will undoubtedly help in Shimla’s tourism values as well.

Furtherly, he added that it was a simple courtesy for the stalwart player of India.

Meanwhile, he also clarified that the expenses of his hotel and travel had been carried by Dhoni himself apart from the security given by Shimla police.

“I am pained to read the reports in some newspapers and an unwarranted criticism by the Congress leaders, especially PCC president Sukhwinder Sukhu, about giving state guest status to Dhoni. Sukhu Ji, think big and open up your horizon,” the honourable CM maintained.

”If that’s the level of thinking how will we promote tourism. After all, Dhoni is an international figure. He doesn’t belong to any political party. Can’t we extend him a simple courtesy on his visit to the state,” asked Thakur.

On the Work front:

Currently, MS Dhoni is off from the game of cricket which saw politicians taking a jibe at each other.

Probably, he will be back in the action when India tours the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for the prestigious Asia Cup 2018 event.

Recently, he had a disastrous tour of England with his willow.
