The incidence happened during a match between Lahore Qalandars and Quetta Gladiators at the Sharjah cricket ground in Sharjah. Lahore won their third match of the season and accumulated six points from nine matches.

Qalandars is considered as one of the strongest teams on paper amongst the other, but the franchise has failed to perform over the years and hasn’t got the desired results.

The incidence happened as the Qalandars were heading towards the win. Sohail Khan, who had bowled three balls of his last over was struggling to get the attention of Yasir Shah who was standing on the boundary.

The fast bowler lost his cool and threw the ball at him. The ball missed the leg-spinner’s head, but the spinner was left fuming. Shah picked up the ball and threw it back in the bowler’s direction.

Former New Zealand captain Brandon McCullum had to play peacemaker and calmed things down for that moment. Both the players didn’t shake hands after the match.

Quetta Gladiators batsman Kevin Pietersen described it as the ‘funniest moment’ of his cricket career.
