Pakistan’s out-of-favour wicketkeeper Kamran Akmal was on the receiving end of Twitterati’s wrath after they trolled him brutally for missing a sitter in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL). Kamran has been trolled time and again for his reckless wicketkeeping and he did himself no favours after he made yet another blunder.

The incident happened during the match between Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators, on Thursday, as Kamran gave a second life to Sohail Khan by spilling his catch.

However, luckily the missed opportunity did not come back to haunt Zalmi, as they won the game in the end, by a margin of 30 runs.

The match was earlier reduced to 15-over per side, and Kamran gave his team a late scare in the penultimate over.

Gladiators batsman Sohail could only manage to send the ball high in the air in Hasan Ali’s over, and Kamran had plenty of time to get under the ball, yet somehow, he failed to get a hold of the ball, as it bursted through his hands.

Even the commentator couldn’t believe what he had just witnessed. Elsewhere, talking about the match, Zalmi were able to oust the Gladiators by 30 runs thanks to a quickfire fifty by veteran batsman Shoaib Malik.

Earlier in the game, Gladiators skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed won the toss and chose to bowl first but the decision backfired spectacularly. Not a single one of their bowlers went for under 11 runs as Zalmi racked up a total of 170 runs at the loss of six wickets in their allotted 15 overs.

The Gladiators meanwhile, slumped to just 140 runs, barring Jason Roy, who scored 45, none of their batsmen could make an impact, thus handing the win to Zalmi.
