Manish Pandey-led India B beat Australia A to seal the Quadrangular series 2018 comfortably by nine wickets. They have outclassed Australians in all the departments of the game to end up taking the victorious position.
The collective bowling effort and the excellent piece of batting display by the Indian top-order did it for India B. Mayank Agarwal has been once again impressive while Shubman Gill too showed his brilliance with his willow.
Bowlers fared well for India B:
After winning the toss, India B asked the visitors to bat first. Despite starting the things on a promising note, Australians lost their plot when Usman Khawaja and Travis Head were dismissed in quick succession.
Marun Labuschagne quickly followed them. However, the southpaws D’Arcy Short and Alex Carey played their part by scoring fifties to their name. It was Deepak Hooda, who gave the crucial breakthrough to bring India back on the track.
Once the partnership was broken, it was all Indian bowlers who showed their skills to bundle out Australians. The Karnataka spinner Shreyas Gopal picked three wickets while Deepak Hooda, Navdeep Saini, and Kaul picked a couple each.
Mayank Agarwal, Shubman Gill, and Manish made chase look like a cakewalk:
Initially, Ishan Kishan and Mayank Agarwal started the things on a positive note. But the uneven bounce from Billy Stanlake saw Ishan Kishan leave the crease with a finger injury.

Though Agarwal failed to convert his fifty to century, Gill in the presence of Pandey completed the chase.
