South African wicketkeeper-batsman Quinton de Kock in all likelihood will appear for English county club Nottinghamshire as an overseas player for the fag end of the tournament.

However, nothing has been finalized yet and De Kock is just understood to be a target of the club. The southpaw could possibly join them after the conclusion of the Test series against Sri Lanka. It ends in mid-August.

However, despite the talks, the club has confirmed the fact that de Kock hasn’t been signed yet and is just on their radar.

Veteran Kiwis batsman Ross Taylor has been part of the club from the first half of the season. However, he has departed for national duties. Nottinghamshire has already signed the likes of Australian all-rounder Dan Christian, Ish Sodhi of New Zealand. But De Kock is expected to play a part in the last six championship games of the campaign.

Nottinghamshire is currently placed second in the First Division League. However, they might be in for a tough time due to the international call-ups and injuries suffered by other star players.

The club also lost several top-level players. It includes the likes of Alex Hales, Brendan Taylor, James Taylor, Greg Smith and Michael Lumb over the last couple of hours due to international commitments.

Meanwhile, in the long run, Nottinghamshire will look to complete the several out of contract players which include the likes of Ben Duckett, Joe Clarke, and Zak Chappell.

As per reports, it is being learnt that Somerset is in touch with Azhar Ali to recruit him as an overseas star. Meanwhile, Middlesex is expected to sign Lewis Gregory. Liam Plunkett, who doesn’t look settled in Yorkshire might move to Lord’s.

So much so, Jordan Clarke is almost certain to leave Lancashire. He is on the wish list of many county teams. Clarke is also demanded by Warwickshire.

However, Ben Raine is wanted by several franchises. It would be interesting to see how a development takes place regarding Quinton de Kock.
