Ranji Trophy 2018/19: Mohammed Mudhasir, M Mohammed Claim Hat-Trick on Same Day

Of late, the game of cricket is coming across some significant coincidences. Of them, the recent one occurred during the Ranji Trophy 2018/19 season, where two bowlers grabbed a hat-trick on the same day. Mohammad Mudhasir of Jammu Kashmir and M Mohammed of Tamil Nadu claimed hat-tricks for their respective sides.
Mohammad Mudhasir is the first Jammu Kashmir player to bag a hat-trick:
Mohammad Mudhasir also became the first-ever player to pick a hat-trick for Jammu Kashmir in the Ranji Trophy 2018/19. Meanwhile, Mohammed’s heroics helped Tamil Nadu to hand advantage for his state.
Meanwhile, M Mohammed became the sixth bowler for Tamil Nadu to register a hat-trick in the Ranji Trophy. Previously, Kalyan Sundaram, Bharat Arun, Subramanium, Devanand and Ramakumar achieved the feat for Tamil Nadu.
However, Mudhasir is playing for Jammu and Kashmir against Rajasthan while M Mohammed delivered the goods against Madhya Pradesh. Mudhasir’s heroics saw Rajasthan bundle out for 374 on the board.
M Mohammed wreaks havoc:
He bagged the wickets of Tajinder Dhillon, Rahul Chahar and Tanveer Ul Haq on three consecutive deliveries to bag the first hat-trick for J&K in Ranji Trophy 2018/19. Surprisingly, all the three wickets came in the mode of the LBW.
On the other hand, M Mohammed, the fast bowler bagged Yash Dubey on the final delivery of the 142nd over and then rattled the wickets of Rajat Patidhar and Mihir Hirwani on the first two deliveries of 144th over.
His incredible spell saw Madhya Pradesh reduce from 359/4 to 361/7 in a matter of seven balls. However, the duo has been exceptional and marked the first game of the season with an excellent headline to their names. Before the ongoing season, Ranji Trophy saw 76 hat-tricks getting registered on the paper. The latest hat-tricks will make the count exceed to 78.
