Afghanistan leg-spinner, Rashid Khan, once again starred as he defended nine runs off the last over, as Afghanistan Cricket team whitewashed Bangladesh in the three-match T20International series.

Meanwhile, this is the first series win for the Afghans in the international arena. They defeated the Tigers by one run in the final game to complete the clean sweep.

Batting first, the Afghans managed to post a moderate 145 runs at the end of their 20 overs. They lost wickets at regular intervals to lose the momentum. However, some brilliant display of bowling guided them to the victory.

Rashid was once again brilliant, as he took the onus on himself to defend the target. He has continued his spectacular form from the recently-concluded Indian Premier League (IPL).

He single-handedly guided Sunrisers Hyderabad to the finals of the tournament, however, fell one short of lifting the cup.

His performances drew praise from all quarters, led by none other than Indian cricket expert, Harsha Bhogle.

Bhogle lauded the young spinner for his phenomenal development in this short period.

Meanwhile @rashidkhan_19 has defended 9 off the last over to give Afghanistan a clean sweep over Bangladesh. Amazing result for Afghanistan and further proof of Rashid’s phenomenal development,” Bhogle tweeted.

The 19-year old Rashid was quick to reply to Bhogle’s tweet. However, his choice of words for him did not go down well with a certain section of his fans, as he referred to Bhogle as ‘bro’.

Thank you bro“, Rashid replied.

Some users were quick to point out the huge difference in age between the two. The famous expert is 56 years old, which is a massive 37 more than Rashid.

Here is how the Twitter trolled Rashid:
