At the IPL auctions which transpired in December 2019, Sunrisers secured the services of India U-19 team’s captain Priyam Garg, Fabian Allen, Mitchell Marsh. Bayliss, who will coach the Sunrisers for the first time, conceded that they wanted a big hitter like Marsh in their middle-order, who can also bowl medium pace.

He further said that the five local guys are very good additions to their ranks.
