Meanwhile, the cricketing fraternity reminisced moments with their loved one, as the world celebrated Father’s Day. The likes of David Warner, Virat Kohli, and others posted some heartwarming pictures with their father’s.

However, Irfan shared a unique video of his father, Mr Mehmood Khan Pathan wielding his magic with the bat. The seamer relived how his father made guest appearances during their early days in cricket.  He took to Twitter to remember the pleasant memories.

He’d make guest appearances to watch us and play some cricket himself. It is all because of your upbringing and support that both @irfanpathan and I were able to achieve what we’ve achieved. Thank you Abba, Happy Father’s Day,” Irfan wrote.

His elder brother Yusuf Pathan also shared the same video.

Afghanistan spinner Rashid, meanwhile, seemed impressed with their father’s batting ability.

Strong finish,” Rashid wrote on Twitter.

Meanwhile, the young spinner has been in the form of life in limited-overs cricket. However, he faced some difficulties in his debut Test for Afghanistan against India, last week.

The tweaker represented Sunriers Hyderabad in the recently concluded IPL. He single-handedly took his team to the finals of the league, however, lost it.

The 19-year old Rashid continued his performance in the T20I series against Bangladesh. He bagged 12 wickets from three games to bag the Player of the series of the tournament.

Moreover, he is also the top-ranked T20I bowlers in the world which speaks volumes of his ability. However, he will have to work harder to be successful in the longer format of the game.
