Rashid Khan left a mark in franchise T20 leagues across the globe and grew as premier all-rounder for Afghanistan. He does not likes to pitch up the deliveries and tries to bowl back of a length, mixing up with variations, to confuse the batsmen. His trickery has worked on the international circuit and placed his among the top spinners of the game.
Khan grew up to the ranks and is the most valuable player for Afghanistan. He was named as the captain of his national team across formats after the 2019 World Cup which saw a controversial run from Gulbadin Naib.

Rashid Khan has a brilliant average of 21 in Tests, 18 in ODIs and 12 in the shortest format of game. He likes to make batsmen play on their back foot and confuse them with wrong uns’. The premier spinner said that he used to follow Anil Kumble, Shahid Afridi and liked bowling at a fast pace.
“Never pitch the ball up; they would clear boundaries with ease. I try to bowl back of a length to them. I try to take them to the back foot. They need to be confused, bowl them wrong uns’, leg spinners and mix it up. I never bowl full to them. You need to bowl back of a length,” Rashid Khan said in a chat with Yuzvendra Chahal on Instagram.
“I used to follow Anil Kumble, Shahid Afridi a lot. I always liked bowling at a fast pace. I have a quick run up also,” he said.
Khan, 21, has picked up 23 Test wickets, 133 in ODIs and 89 in the shortest format. He has been one of the major contributor for his national team.
