The flamboyant cricketer became the 17th skipper to achieve that special feat.
Afghanistan captain Rashid Khan, on Saturday, became only the 4th cricketer in history to pick up a 5-wicket haul and score more than 50 runs on his captaincy debut. Rashid Khan achieved the feat when he dismissed Bangladesh tailender Nayeem Hasan to wrap up the innings.

Former England captain Sheldon Jackson (1905), Pakistan legend Imran Khan (1982) and Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan (2009) are the only other players to have scored 50-plus runs and take a 5-for on their captaincy debuts.
Overall, Rashid Khan is 17th captain to achieve the feat:
Before the blistering spell, Rashid Khan smashed a brilliant fifty with his willow in the first innings of the game. He whacked the ball out of his presence with ease against Bangladesh spinners to help his side get a big tally on the board. Later, scripts history with his brilliant 5-wicket haul.
With that Rashid became the 17th captain to achieve the rare feat of picking up a five-for and scoring a fifty on the same Test match. Rashid is the youngest to do so. Earlier, he became the youngest cricketer to lead his side as well.
It was Rashid Khan’s 2nd 5-wicket haul after his match-winning 5/82 against Ireland in March earlier this year. Rashid’s effort helped Afghanistan bundled out their opponents for 205 in their 1st innings, thereby handing the tourists a hefty 137-run lead. But Afghanistan was in trouble early in their 2nd innings as Shakib removed Ihsanullah (4) and 1st innings centurion Rahmat Shah (0) off successive balls in the very 1st over of the innings.
