In the recent times, Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan has been quite a sensation especially in the shortest format of the game. He has plied his trade almost everywhere and is a one of the sought after T20 cricketers in the world. He has been quite magnificent in his brief ODI career as well. In the debut Test for Afghanistan, he wasn’t at his wicket-taking best. He kept bowling fast and Shikhar Dhawan kept smashing him for boundaries. However, he returned strongly in the final session of the opening day.

Rashid was also a star performer for the SUnrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League. It was under the captaincy of David Warner that Rashid made his IPL debut for the Hyderabad franchise last year. He developed a lot of respect for Warner as he was the person who handled him brilliantly. Even Williams did that to perfection this year.

David Warner is currently out of cricket due to the suspension he is serving due to his involvement in the ball-tampering fiasco which unfolded in  Cape Town 3 months ago. The southpaw is set to make a return in competitive cricket. He is slated to play the Global T20 League in Canada. Taking to his twitter handle, Rashid wished his former captain all the very best ahead of a very important venture in his life.

Rashid’s message for Warner

“Good luck dear @davidwarner31 bro for the @GT20Canada will pray for your top performance and I believe you will do it like always you did Best wish,” he wrote. Meanwhile, Warner and Steve Smith have been suspended from international cricket for a year. They were the masterminds in a ball-tampering plan which happened during lunch of Day 3 of the Test match.

Cameron Bancroft was caught on camera trying to apply a sandpaper on the ball. It got circulated everyone and they confessed their wrongdoing in the press conference which followed. They will surely make a comeback as soon as they become available for their country.
