India’s spinning all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin might join the MRC ‘A’ in Tamil Nadu Cricket Association’s (TNCA) first-class division.

Consequently, Ashwin could leave his former Chennai-based club Jolly Rovers. Thus, it might prove to be a huge inter-club move in the coming season.

Meanwhile, ace off-spinner  Ashwin is the captain of Dindigul Dragons in the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL).

Interestingly, both MRC ‘A’ and Dindigul Dragons (DD) are owned by ‘Take Solutions’. Thus, there is a good probability that Ashwin could be representing MRC ‘A’ in the coming club season of Tamil Nadu.

It is also learnt from sources that leg-spinner Murugan Ashwin might make a move from Grand Slam to MRC ‘A’.

Furthermore, wicketkeeper-batsman Bharat Srikar could also get transferred from Young Stars to MRC ‘A’.

Meanwhile, young batsman Shahrukh Khan may move from Jolly Rovers to Vijay CC.

In fact, there were rumours making the rounds southpaw batsman Abhinav Mukund was moving from Vijay CC to MRC A. However, the Indian opener has denied any such reports, as of now.

Sportstar quotes Mukund as saying, “I will stay loyal to Vijay, I am not moving anywhere else. I have been enjoying my time at the club.”

Meanwhile, Ravichandran Ashwin led Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) in the recently concluded Indian Premier League (IPL).

However, the Mohali-based outfit had a fine start as they won their first five matches out of the seven. But, Punjab team veered off the track as they managed a solitary win in the second half of the season.

Consequently, Punjab could not make their way into the playoffs. It was disappointing end after getting a great start. However, it was a good experience for Ashwin to lead for the first time in the lucrative IPL.
