India stars Ravindra Jadeja and Umesh Yadav were involved in a hilarious exchange of comments on Instagram after the latter bragged about his weightlifting abilities. Ravindra Jadeja is currently a part of India’s T20I team for the ongoing T20I series against Sri Lanka. After the first game was abandoned without a ball being bowled, India beat the islanders in the second to take an unassailable lead in the series.

Ravindra Jadeja did not play the second game and will be hoping to break into the team for the third and final T20I which will take place in Pune on January 10. Umesh Yadav, on the other hand, is not a part of the T20I side and is currently preparing himself for the upcoming Test series against New Zealand. India will leave for New Zealand later this month.

Coming to the latest banter between the two cricketers, it started when Umesh Yadav took to Instagram to post a video of his weight training. Posting a couple of emojis, Umesh Yadav captioned the video: “do you lift bro”.

This is when Ravindra Jadeja decided to troll Umesh Yadav as the star allrounder made fun of his teammate’s weightlifting abilities by writing: “Ladkiya itna weight uthati hai? (Do girls lift this amount of weight).”

Well, Umesh Yadav was not ready to have his teammate the last laugh as he hit back by saying: “Yeh toh sirf teaser tha, Picture abhi baaki hai mere dost ? (This is just the trailer, the movie is not over yet)

Umesh Yadav, meanwhile, last played for India during the two-match Test series against Bangladesh. In the absence of Jasprit Bumrah, he was given a consistent run in the playing eleven and the pacer made the most of it. He played an integral role in India’s thumping wins over South Africa and Bangladesh. The right-arm pacer picked up 11 wickets against South Africa and 12 against Bangladesh.
