The association between cricket and Bollywood goes a long way back. From Sharmila Tagore and Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, Sangeeta Bijlani and Mohammad Azharuddin, to most recently Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli – the bond between Bollywood and cricket has always been there with celebrities from both the fields being smitten by each other.

Well, rising cricketer Sarfaraz Khan, who was all over the news for his cameos in the Indian Premier League, seems to have fallen for actress Fatima Sana Shaikh. The actress has been receiving accolades from all corners after playing the role of Geeta Phogat, an Indian wrestler and Mahavir Singh Phogat’s (played by Aamir Khan) daughter in the Bollywood film, Dangal.

The actress is enjoying a huge fan following ever since her Dangal performance, and Sarfaraz has also joined her long list of admirers. The cricketer expressed his liking for the actress by voting for her ahead of Katrina Kaif in a question put out by Instantbollywood on Instagram.

Sarfaraz Khan is tipped to be the next big thing in Indian cricket. Destined for great things, the youngster rose to prominence when just at the age of 12, he broke the record for the highest score in the Harris Shield inter-school tournament, making 439 for Rizvi Springfield in an innings that featured 56 fours and 12 sixes.

After that, there was no looking back, as he kept on performing consistently. He starred for India in the U-19 World Cup and impressed everyone with his brilliant cameos in the IPL after being bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore for INR 50 lakhs in 2015.

Last year, he had finished as the second-highest run scorer in the Under-19 World Cup in Bangladesh, with 355 runs from six matches, and emerged as the batting mainstay of the team. However, he could not get regular matches in the last two seasons of the IPL due to poor fitness and injuries.
