South Africa has recalled Reeza Hendricks for the remaining two T20Is against Australia as a cover for Temba Bavuma and Heinrich Klaasen on Sunday. Since both Bavuma and Klaasen are currently suffering from injuries, the board announced their reassessment ahead of the commencement of the second match in the three-match T20I series
Australia are currently touring the Proteas for a three-match T20 and as many ODIs. South Africa lost the first T20I at Johannesburg against Australia by a humongous margin of 107 runs. It was their biggest defeat in T20Is.
Chasing a target of 197 runs, the Proteas choked again. A magnificent hat-trick from Ashton Agar bundled up South Africa to just 89 runs.
Earlier, Cricket South Africa (CSA) tweeted to inform about the injuries of Bavuma and Klaasen.
Bavuma was diagnosed with a right hamstring strain on Monday, while Klaasen sustained a right hip injury during the team’s warm-up session ahead of the #KFCT20 series opening match against Australia in Johannesburg on Friday evening. #SAvAUS pic.twitter.com/xyarQfN4CJ

The 30-year-old Hendricks has averaged 26.95 with a decent strike rate of 121.77 for South Africa in the format.
As the hosts eye a series level by a 1-1 margin, it will be interesting to see if Hendricks is directly put into playing XI in the second T20I in Port Elizabeth, or he had to wait for his turn.
