Mumbai Indian skipper Rohit Sharma was engaged in a hilarious Twitter banter with his Indian Premier League franchise Mumbai Indians. Meanwhile, Mumbai is now gearing up for the eleventh edition of the cash-rich league.

Rohit has a long association with Mumbai and has led the team in three IPL titles. He will want to replicate his form in the brand new edition.

Mumbai Indians posted a simple post on social media which read:

Paltan, an exciting update is heading your way. Prepare yourself to welcome new faces in our team. Stay tuned! #CricketMeriJaan

Skipper Rohit took note of this tweet and quickly asked them why haven’t they informed him about this.

What do you mean by new faces? Why don’t you guys inform me?” Rohit replied.

Following his hysterical reply, the official account of MI wrote, “Skipper, let us discuss this on DM.”

However, it didn’t end there as Rohit kept on persisting as to what was this all about. His tweet read: “I’ve checked my DMs. I am fine with these new faces and it’s really cool. But where are my bullets?”

Mumbai Indians meanwhile, from their official page replied that they have full backup for their captain.

We got you covered skipper,” was their reply.

Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians is the most successful team in the cash-rich league. Also, they have lifted the trophy as many as three-times in ten seasons, the most by any franchise. The defending champions are once again being touted as one of the favourites to win the title this time.

Mumbai will start their campaign against MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings at the Wankhede Stadium on April 7.
