Rohit Sharma Introduces His Daughter To World

The 2019 has begun on an unforgettable note for India star Rohit Sharma. The opening batsman and his wife Ritika Sajdeh became proud parents of a girl on Monday (December 31). Rohit was in Australia at that time and immediately flew back to India to be with his wife as the couple was about to become parents for the first time.

Consequently, he missed the ongoing fourth Test against Australia in Sydney. Later, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced that the right-hand batsman will join the team on January 8 for the upcoming 3-match ODI series against the same opposition. Prior to returning to India, Rohit had finally impressed in Tests, scoring a vital 63 in the first innings of the Melbourne Test as India won the game by 137 runs to take an unassailable 2-1 lead.

And on Thursday, Rohit finally introduced his baby girl to the world. He posted a cute picture of the girl holding both Rohit and Ritika’s fingers, writing:

Meanwhile, following the Tests, there will be three ODIs. Sydney Cricket Ground will host the first ODI on January 12. The long tour will conclude with the third ODI at MCG on January 18.
