The Rohit Sharma injury saga has taken yet another surprising turn with the Mumbai Indians skipper making a comeback to his side’s playing eleven for the match against SunRisers Hyderabad on Tuesday. Rohit Sharma’s inclusion has caused a quite a stir in the Indian cricket fraternity.
Rohit Sharma’s return has also left the Indian selection panel embarrassed. Last week, the selectors had not named him in any of the three squads for the tour of Australia due to the hamstring injury he had sustained on October 18 during the match against Kings XI Punjab.

With the tour still more than a month away, the selectors’ decision made many believe that Rohit Sharma’s injury was serious. But just moments after the squad announcement, the batsman returned to training in the nets, leaving many surprised.
But Team India head coach Ravi Shastri and Sourav Ganguly’s recent comments gave an impression that the India opener was trying to rush his comeback and was not close to being match fit. However, the Mumbai Indians skipper sprung another surprise on Tuesday by returning to action for his side’s final league game.

Rohit Sharma leaves selectors embarrassed:
Rohit Sharma has left India’s selectors quite embarrassed with his latest comment on his fitness. Speaking at the toss for the SRH clash, the Mumbai star seemed to have taken a sly dig at the selectors as well as BCCI by saying:
“Looks like I’m fit and fine.”

Rohit Sharma’s latest statement is bound to raise some eyebrows. His return has perhaps made it clear that his injury was not very serious and it would not be surprising at all if the selectors face the heat now for their decision to leave him entirely out of the tour.
