Rohit Sharma, the swashbuckling white-ball opener, has revealed the partnership that he shared with former captain MS Dhoni during his maiden double-hundred in ODI cricket against Australia during the 2013 series-decider in Bengaluru as his favorite moment with the talismanic wicketkeeper-batsman.
Sharma, on the occasion of ‘Friendship Day’ on Sunday, took to his Twitter account to interact with his fans via the Question-Answer session.
One of the fans asked Rohit about his best moment with MS Dhoni during his celebrated 13-year-old career.
“Best moment with MS (Dhoni) was my first double hundred, he was batting with me and we had a long partnership,” said Rohit Sharma via a video message posted on Twitter.

Coming back to that record-breaking innings by Rohit Sharma, the Indian opener etched his name into the annals of folklore as he creamed the Aussie bowling attack to the tune of 209 off 158 balls- an innings which included 12 fours and a record 16 sixes.
Sharma stitched a 112-run opening stand with Shikhar Dhawan and 72 runs with Suresh Raina. But it was his 167-run-partnership with captain MS Dhoni [62 off 38 balls] that ground Australia into the dust as India racked up an eventual match-winning score of 6-383.
Since then, Rohit has added two more double tons- 264 & 208 against Sri Lanka in 2014 and 2017 respectively- to his kitty, becoming the only player in the history of ODI cricket with more than one double-hundred.
