India’s limited-overs vice-captain Rohit Sharma is currently away from the cricket field and it seems he is enjoying his time away from the cricketing action in Australia. The Indian team is currently in the lands of the Kangaroos as they have gone on to lock horns against them in a 3-month long tour. Rohit reportedly suffered an injury in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) and hence, he hasn’t travelled with the squad to Australia.

Lately, he has been the centre of a lot of controversies as issues over his fitness have demonstrated clear rows between him and the Indian skipper, Virat Kohli. Kohli, in a recent interview, prior to the Australian ODI series, himself stated that there has been a lack of clarity on Rohit’s availability and that the waiting game on him hasn’t been good for Indian cricket.

Rohit did not accompany the Indian team from UAE for the Australian tour and returned back to India to complete his rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore.

The Indian cricket team is currently playing the 2nd T20I of the three-match series after having won the first game. Australia batted first in the second game and smashed 194 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in their 20 overs. Team India will conquer this series if they manage to win today’s game.
