Rohit Sharma Posts Heart-Touching Message For Ritika Sajdeh On Her Birthday

Indian vice-captain Rohit Sharma has had a fantastic year so far. He has been piling up runs consistently across formats and carved out a reputation for himself as one of the world-class batsmen in modern-day cricket. He stole the spotlight in India’s must-win match against West Indies where he scored his 28th century. He ended up scoring 159 runs for the team which included 17 fours and 5 sixes to his name.

Rightly so, he was named the man of the match for his match-winning performance in Visakhapatnam. He also broke several records after the match. He overtook Indian captain Virat Kohli to become the leading run-scorer in One-Day Internationals this year. Currently, Rohit Sharma stands on top of the list with 1382 runs.

Ahead of the ODI decider between India and West Indies which is scheduled to be played at the Barabati Stadium, Cuttack on Sunday (December 22), Indian opener Rohit Sharma took to his official Instagram handle to share a heart-touching post for wife Ritika Sajdeh on her birthday on Saturday.

Rohit Sharma and Ritika Sajdeh tied the nuptial knot on December 13, 2015. The couple was blessed with their first child, cute little angel, named Samaira last year. The 32-year-old dashing opener took out time to share an Instagram post for his wife.

Rohit Sharma wrote, “Many many happy returns my love, strength and game-changer. Samaira and I are proud to have such a leading light in our lives.”

Rohit Sharma is on verge of surpassing Sri Lankan legend Sanath Jayasuriya’s record in the third and final ODI in Cuttack. The flamboyant opener is just nine runs away from breaking a record held by Sanath Jayasuriya in the year 1997. Jayasuriya accumulated 2387 runs across formats while opening the innings in that year. On the other hand, Rohit Sharma currently has 2,379 runs across formats this year.
