Mumbai Indians’ skipper Rohit Sharma has revealed that the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) is the one franchise for which they plan the most in the Indian Premier League. Rohit Sharma stated that they have a surreal batting line up and if they get going, no one can stop them.

Although Rohit Sharma might be showering a lot of praise on the Virat Kohli-led side, RCB have had a contrasting fortune in the 12-year run of the tournament. The team has never been short of stars of world cricket, but they haven’t been able to clinch even a single trophy in the tournament so far. They have reached the finals thrice but have failed to grab their hands on the coveted trophy.

However, speaking to Sunrisers Hyderabad’s skipper, David Warner, Rohit Sharma has heaped praise on the Southern Giants of the tournament.

Rohit Sharma Heaps Praise On Royal Challengers Bangalore

“Honestly speaking, we sit and plan for RCB more than any other team because of their batting line up. Their batting line-up is just is unreal. If you have that kind of batting line up and they go on for a couple of hours, it becomes difficult,” Rohit Sharma said in an Instagram live chat with David Warner.

Mumbai Indians, on the other hand, have had a contrasting fate to that of RCB in the IPL so far. They have been the team to beat as they have emerged as the most successful team in the history of the tournament with four titles in their bag. Rohit Sharma is the most successful player and the most successful captain in the illustrious 12-year run of the cash-rich league.

Dark Clouds Looms Large Over IPL 2020 Future

IPL 2020 was scheduled to start from March 29, but due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the BCCI postponed it until April 15. As the nationwide lockdown extended in India, BCCI suspended IPL 2020 Indefinitely. Now, with the situation worsening, it seems a huge possibility that IPL stands nothing but cancelled this year.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is now looking at the October-November window for the IPL. But the move can be possible only if the ICC decides to postpone the 2020 T20 World Cup that is to be held in October, this year, according to some sources in the board.

On April 10, latest reports suggested that the BCCI is probing into the July window to conduct the IPL and it could take place behind closed doors. However, all hopes have once again vanished as the BCCI has suspended the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 indefinitely in the light of the coronavirus pandemic.
