Rohit Sharma also spoke about the future of football in India. Football is the most-watched sport in the world but when it comes to India, cricket is seen as the first priority. Rohit said that it will take time for football to develop in this country. However, he hopes to see India dominating the international stage very soon.

“My brother-in-law is an avid football fan. He wanted to take up football professionally but at that point, infrastructure was not available. But today he can do it with the facilities that are available. It takes time for any sport to develop in a country. Look at where we were now in the 1930s in cricket and look where we have reached now. I hope it doesn’t take that much time for football. We want to see them play on the international stage soonest,” Rohit added.
