Rohit Sharma: If I can stick around 10 overs, bowlers can’t get me out

“Mindset is very simple, because I lost years in my career batting in the middle-order, without scoring too much. So I decided when I am getting such a nice opportunity to open, when I can play 50 overs, if I can stick around in the initial 10 overs, then I can be out only by mistake, bowler cannot dismiss me. In the first 10 overs bowler can. That is why if you see I don’t have a good strike rate in the initial 10 overs, so I play with that responsibility because you play so many years and you have to take the responsibility on yourself, not any other guy to come and do it for you,” Rohit Sharma explained to Smriti Mandhana and Jemmimah Rodrigues in their chat show ‘Double Trouble’.
