Rohit Sharma makes shot-making looks effortless. He times the ball to perfection and pummels bowlers of any stature all over the park. The Mumbai Indians captain became the third player to reach the 5000 runs milestone in the IPL 2020. Rohit Sharma has not only been a crucial part of the IPL franchise but also key for the national team in limited-overs.

Former England spinner Graeme Swann, a part of the official broadcasters panel of the IPL 2020, has watched Rohit Sharma over the years. He is of the opinion that Rohit Sharma is beautiful to watch and reliable. Swann also pointed out that the senior batsman might not be super thin like he used to be years ago but he does his job.

“It’s Rohit Sharma (stand out player). He is beautiful to watch and you know he is going to come good. Even though he is not the super thin Rohit Sharma that he was 5-10 years ago, he is still doing it,” Swann told Star Sports in a post-match show on Thursday.

“He is an old guard now. Most of these young guys would have grown up with posters of him on their walls, they are now batting with him. He is an absolute joy to watch when in good form.”

The opening batsman captivated the audience with his pull shot which often ends up in the second tier. Rohit Sharma usually starts off slow and accelerates once he scores his century. He has been a joy to watch over the years.

Moreover, Rohit Sharma is the only batsman to hit three double centuries in the ODI format, making it look like a cake walk. Two of his three double tons have come against Sri Lanka with career-best score of 264 runs. By his own admission, Rohit Sharma has said that, if he stays in the crease for the first 10 overs it will be difficult to get him out.
