Team India opener in the limited-overs format wished his one-time Team India, Deccan Chargers and Mumbai Indians teammate Pragyan Ojha on his 32nd birthday.

Taking to his Twitter handle, Rohit wrote, “To the guy who never fails to make me laugh! Happiest birthday, Ojhi.”

Ojha was one of the premier spinners for India in the 2012-2013 season. He played in most of India’s home Tests and was quite successful as a bowler.

However, he featured in 24 Tests for his country. He ended up bagging 113 wickets at an average of 30. He also played 18 One-day Internationals and six Twenty20 Internationals for India.

The left-arm orthodox tweaker played his last match against the Windies at the Wankhede Stadium in 2013. The match is remembered as it was the Little Master Sachin Tendulkar’s farewell Test match.

Pragyan Ojha was also part of the Indian team which contested in the 2010 World T20 in England. Rohit and Ojha were crucial members of the now-defunct Deccan Chargers outfit in the 2009 season when the lifted the title for the first time. He played 92 Indian Premier League (IPL) games claiming 89 wickets in the process at an economy rate of 7.37.

Meanwhile coming back to Rohit, the vice-captain of the limited-overs team has been elected as the skipper of Team India for the Asia Cup 2018.

Moreover, the selectors decided to give Virat Kohli a break from international cricket as he has played non-stop cricket in the last few months.

Well, few have questioned the omission of the skipper from a big tournament like the Asia Cup. However, there is no denying the fact that he needed some rest.

Remarkable Rohit is a terrific limited-overs batsman and has also led his team quite admirably in the limited opportunities he has got to lead the nation.

Rohit Sharma will be hoping that India can lift yet another Asia Cup title under his captaincy. The biggest plus for Rohit will be the presence of Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
