Rajasthan Royals (RR) batter Jos Buttler took an all-run four runs in his team’s ongoing IPL 2022 match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai on April 18, 2022.
This match between KKR and RR is important for both the teams as Kolkata came into this encounter after losing both of their last two matches, while Rajasthan came into this losing their last match and top position at the points table as well.
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and chose to bowl first which has been the case in all the matches in the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League. KKR had one change as they brought in Shivam Mavi for Aman Khan, while Rajasthan made three changes.
Trent Boult was back in the XI replacing Jimmy Neesham, Karun Nair came in for Rassie van der Dussen and Obed McCoy made his RR debut in place of Kuldeep Sen.
Jos Buttler And Devdutt Padikkal Take An All-Run Four
After many matches, Rajasthan Royals’ opening combo gave them a terrific start, with mainly Jos Buttler doing the heavy scoring in the powerplay. However, in the third over of the RR innings, which saw Buttler hitting Umesh Yadav for a four and a six off the first two balls, the viewers got to see an all run four runs, with an overthrow.
Yadav bowled a yorker on the off-stump and Jos Buttler squeezed it between point and cover-point. Venkatesh Iyer gave the ball a good chase and dived to keep the ball inside the field of play. However, he took some time to recover, get up and throw the ball back to the keeper and in meantime, Padikkal and Buttler completed four runs.
Buttler completed his third half-century of IPL 2022 in 29 balls with 5 fours and 3 sixes.
