Ruturaj Gaikwad Reminds Me Of A Young Virat Kohli: Faf du Plessis

Chennai Super Kings’ veteran middle-order batsman, Faf du Plessis, has lauded CSK youngster, Ruturaj Gaikwad for his approach towards the game. Du Plessis even went on to say that there are glimpses of a young Virat Kohli in Ruturaj Gaikwad and that just goes on to show how class an act the youngster is on the field.
It is worth noting that Gaikwad has been in the form of his life in the last three games that he has played for Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2020. The future of Indian cricket has smashed 3 successive half-centuries as Chennai Super Kings managed to avoid humiliation and win the last 3 games on the trot to end the tournament on a respectable note.

Faf du Plessis Rates Ruturaj Gaikwad As A Young Virat Kohli
“He (Gaikwad) looks like a young Virat Kohli doesn’t he? What stands out for me the most is is his composure. Pressure situations don’t really get to him. That is always pleasing to see in a young guy and looks like he has a bright future,” Du Plessis said after the match.
“That scoop is the shot I play often and quite bummed that I couldn’t get it but pleased for us to finish the season with a win,” he said when asked of his choice of shot selection.
Chennai Super Kings Finish The Tournament On A High
Chennai Super Kings have had one of the poorest seasons in IPL 2020 compared to their earlier standards. For a team who has qualified for the playoffs every season that they have played and have played 8 finals so far, finishing on the 7th spot in the IPL 2020 points table won’t be a very great achievement.

However, in the last three games this season, Chennai Super Kings have looked a shadow of their past as they have played an aggressive brand of cricket and all the players contributed as CSK went on to win the last three games consecutively. Ruturaj Gaikwad has had an important hand in these wins as he became the first player to score three consecutive half-centuries for CSK.
