Australia won the first Test by 118 runs, as they took just 22 balls on day five to remove Quinton De Kock early.
The tourists were completely dominant until South African opener Aiden Markram, and Quinton De Kock got together and gave them a scare on day four.

However, the major topic discussion has been the altercation between Australian opener David Warner and Proteas wicket-keeper Quinton De Kock.

A video had surfaced on the internet where David Warner was seen fired up against De Kock at the staircase leading towards to the dressing room at tea on day four.

In the video, Warner was seen arguing with De Kock. However, after the completion of the match the Australian captain Steven Smith acknowledged the incident was unfortunate, and the remainder of the series should be played in the spirit of the game.
Moreover, the Aussies skipper then added De Kock was the instigator.

“Those sorts of things are not on from both sides. Getting personal on the field is not on. We were certainly very chirpy out in the field as well. As far as I’m aware, we didn’t get personal towards Quinton. What he said got a little bit personal towards Davey and, as we saw, it certainly provoked an emotional response.”
De Kock was the last South African batsmen to get dismissed, as the Proteas got dismissed for 298. De Kock scored 83 and looked to have found some form.
