After missing out on a large chunk of ODI series against India, AB de Villiers is all set to miss out on the T20I series as well.

The dynamic South African batsman sustained an injury to his left knee before the start of the series opener.

It is expected that the modern maestro will be fit in time for the upcoming Test series against Australia starting on the first week of March at Kingsmead, Durban.

Earlier, De Villiers missed out the majority of the ODI series against India after suffering a finger injury at the 3rd Test match at Jo’Burg. India won the last match of the Test series to end the three-match Test series by a 2-1 scoreline.
