Kagiso Rabada got the hosts Proteas, an early breakthrough by removing Murali Vijay. All four South African bowlers were on fire in the second innings. Lungi Ngidi who came as a second change bowler got a wicket on the very first ball of his spell in the form of KL Rahul.
Ngidi came into the side as Dale Steyn’s replacement as the veteran fast bowler picked up a heel injury in the second innings of the first Test. Ngidi picked up his maiden Test wicket in the first innings by picking up the wicket of Parthiv Patel.
