SA vs IND 2018: Virat Kohli 'Very Excited' About Second Test

Team India might have lost the first Test against South Africa, but the mood in the Indian camp is far from being gloomy. On the very next day after the crushing defeat in New Zealand, India’s benched quartet – Ishant Sharma, Parthiv Patel, Ajinkya Rahane and KL Rahul – were seen sweating it out in the nets and now captain Virat Kohli’s latest tweet more or less proves that the mood in the Indian camp is upbeat despite the loss.
India arrived in the African country on the back of nine consecutive series wins but failed to come up with an all-round performance against the Proteas. Virat Kohli & Co. started the proceedings in Cape Town on a stunning note with Bhuvneshwar Kumar ripping through South Africa’s top-order to reduce them to 12 for three. However, they let South Africa off the hook from thereon, as the Proteas recovered from the disastrous start and posted 286.
In reply, India’s top-order failed to put up a good show on a tough pitch. The visitors were reeling at 92 for seven before Hardik Pandya’s 93-run knock helped them post 209.

India’s bowlers then gave their side a big chance of winning the game by dismissing South Africa for just 130. But the batsmen once again failed to compliment the bowlers as India were all out for a mere 135.
Kohli, who had scored one century and a couple of double centuries in his last Test series, failed to lead his team from the front, scoring just 5 and 28 in two innings. However, the skipper seems to have moved on after the rare failure and is now excited for the second Test which gets underway on Saturday (January 13).
The 29-year old took to Twitter to post a selfie alongside Hardik Pandya with the caption:
“Touchdown Joburg, what a City!?? Gearing up for the next one and very excited about it.”
