Sachin Tendulkar and Roger Federer Shares Pleasantries on Twitter

Sachin Tendulkar and Roger Federer are two legends of their respective games cricket and tennis. Tendulkar has always been a huge admirer of Federer and has time and again gone his Wimbledon matches. Federer is a close friend of Tendulkar and we have seen in the past that the legendary duo have exchanged quite a few pleasantries with each other. Tendulkar has always vouched for Federer as the ideal sportsperson especially with the way he has carried himself both on and off the field.

Both Tendulkar and Federer have a similar sort of a personality and that might be the primary reason that the duo gels with each other very well. Recently in a Wimbledon match against Adrian Mannarino, Federer forward defended a ball from Mannarino like a proper cricketer. It was a false shot from his opponent and Federer showed his cricketing skills.

The official twitter handle for Wimbledon shared the video and asked ICC what ratings they will give Federer for his forward defence. “Ratings for @rogerfederer’s forward defence, @ICC? #Wimbledon,” the official website of Wimbledon wrote. Tendulkar being a huge fan of Federer took to his twitter and praised the tennis star for his wonderful hand-eye coordination.

“As always, great hand-eye coordination. @rogerfederer, let’s exchange notes on cricket and tennis after you win your 9th @Wimbledon title, Tendulkar wrote on a lighter note. Federer’s forward defence resembled quite a bit of Matthew Hayden and he surely must have some cricketing skills up his sleeve. In their next meeting, Tendulkar will surely teach Federer some cricketing lessons.

After Tendulkar’s heartfelt message for Federer, the tennis star was not far away from replying. “why wait? I’m ready to take notes! @sachin_rt. It is always pleasing to hear from the legendary duo and seeing a conversation like this will surely mesmerize any fan of the two legends. Meanwhile, Tendulkar said that he will give him notes on straight drive only if he teaches him the backhand. It was obviously intended in a light-hearted manner.
