Arguably the greatest batsman of all time Sachin Tendulkar has come up with some suggestions for Virat Kohli and Co on how to deal with the lethal pace and bounce on offer in South African pitches. The Master Blaster knows a thing or two on how to deal with the pace and bounce. He has been part of several battles against some of the fiercest bowlers in the world. He offered three tips to the Indian team for the 2nd Test in Centurion on how to deal with the South African pacers.

“Batsmen should concentrate in the first 25 overs and look to accelerate after 50; bowlers should bowl in the right areas, and more importantly, remain positive as a team,” Tendulkar said.

The former skipper also feels that the visitors won’t get bogged down mentally following the opening Test at the Newlands at Cape Town.

“While I don’t think the team is mentally down after the Cape Town defeat, South Africa will have their tails up. This is going to be a huge test for the team management. What India do outside the field will be as important as on it,” Tendulkar was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.

Meanwhile, Indian skipper Virat Kohli urged his team members to show intent when they face the Proteas in the 2nd Test at the Supersport Park in Centurion.

With conditions likely to favour fast bowlers even at Centurion the problem for the visitors is just not how they can execute their plan but who all should do it. In the 1st Test, there were not single top order batsmen who could score beyond 28. The Indian top order batsmen to score above 30 was 93 by Hardik Pandya in the 1st innings and 37 by Ravichandran Ashwin in the 2nd.

There is a possibility that Shikhar Dhawan might be opted out of the Playing XI for KL Rahul while Ajinkya Rahane will break into the side for the 2nd Test in Centurion.
